The beauty of this vessel is not just skin deep. Inside you will be welcomed by a warm hand crafted and hand finished maple interior. Fine appointments such as "Corian" tops, teak and maple planked flooring, a cedar lined hanging locker, designer fabrics, and other amenities too numerous to list here. Every door drawer and molding is handcrafted at our facility by a team of skilled artisans who on average, have over a quarter century of experience each in plying their trade.
The Out Island 38' is one of the, if not the best, equipped express fisherman on the market. From twin fish boxes with macerators, transom live bait well, oil exchange system, reverse cycle air conditioning, 6.5KW generator, TV/VCR, premium stereo, right on down to the fitted sheets, pots, pans, flatware, dishes and towels, the Out Island is turn key ready to go.





Beneath the hydraulically lifted helm deck, a well thought out engine room awaits your inspection. Most equipment is located on the forward bulkhead to provide easy access and your mechanic will appreciate the ample room, which is provided outboard of the engines. For ease of clean up, all fiberglass surfaces are smooth, gel coated, and finished with "Imron". As for sound deadening, "Soundown" foam insulation covered by "Soundown" perforated, powder coated, acoustical aluminum panels makes for clean and durable installation.
Step behind the center control station, and you will immediately recognize the Out Island is no ordinary express fisherman. All gauges and switches at the pedestal helm are within easy sight and reach, and ample space is provided in the console to accomodate electronics. Solid chrome over brass control levers and steering wheel by "Release Marine" are standard equipment and thanks to "Seastar" hydraulic steering and the single lever "Panish" control system, all work smooth and silky. Visibility could not be better either. Slide in the standard "Release Marine" helm seat with contoured aircraft style cushions and teak back, and before you a clear view is provided of what lies ahead and behind, and unobstructed view of one the best equipped and most generous fishing areas in any 38' boat.
Once fired up, this beauty becomes a beast. As you effortlessly  ease the throttles forward, acceleration is impressive to say the least. In no time at all, you are up on plain and leaving those less fortunate in your wake. Depending upon the twin diesel power package selected the Out Island 38' Express tops out between 35 and 40 knots and thanks to our hull design and the Carolina flare, words like soft and dray can accurately be used to describe our ride. Seas that would keep lesser boats at the dock need not intimidate you. Out Island's performance is a function of bottom design, not sacrificed by weight and structural integrity. After all, what good is speed if you can't use it? And with over 500 gallons of fuel capacity, there's not much chance of any of those turtles out-distancing this hare either.
