The owner of "Joyful Noise" has spent many hours refurbishing and maintaining this vessel. This 42’ Grand Banks would make a great live aboard or cruiser for any boater appreciating the classic construction and persona offered by this yacht. She just had a new bottom job and the top end of the generator has just been overhauled along with both transmissions. Aside for some cosmetic work, she is ready to cruise right now.



INTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

You can enter the saloon from the outer decks from either the port or starboard door. The guest cabin is a V berth forward and down three steps. There’s a hanging locker to port and an en-suite head with electric head and shower to starboard. There is a large sink with storage under it, plus a large mirror. The guest suite is air conditioned and heated. You can access the engine room from under the steps to the guest suite. The saloon has a galley up arrangement on the port side with a double stainless steel sink.
The counter is Formica with a refrigerator under it and good storage. There is an electric stove with an oven and a large pantry cabinet on the counter with a new Kenmore microwave oven (installed just a year ago) and used once, mounted below.
On the starboard side there’s the lower helm with a door to the outer deck. Abaft of the door there is a storage cabinet with a marine A/C control unit. Aft of the cabinet there is an L-shaped settee an adjustable teak table and two chairs. Across from the settee on the port side there is a large cabinet containing an icemaker, a stereo/entertainment center, and another refrigerator.
There is also a door to port to access the outer deck.
Aft of the saloon you step down three steps to the master stateroom. It has a large hanging locker, a double berth with deep storage draws under it and a large teak chest.
There is an en-suite head with a large tub and shower. The head has an electric head, a vanity, sink with storage under it and large mirrors. The master also has an exit door aft to the cockpit. The master is of course also air conditioned and heated.



 


























EXTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

This boat was built in the classic tradition with mahogany hull and teak decks. A $9,000.00 bottom job was just recently performed with new bottom paint, new worm shoe and two new planks installed on the starboard aft quarter below the spray rail. It has teak handrails and three boarding gates, stainless steel bow rails and rub rails. The boat has an anchor platform (pulpit) with a windlass that was refurbished, rewired and supplied with a new foot switch. It’s got a Danforth anchor and a CQR anchor. The boat has a teak swim platform and is easily accessed from the cockpit. Two steps up from the cockpit and deck is an area that could be used to store the inflatable dingy and the 6hp Johnson outboard which is included in the sale. This area also hosts an aluminum mast with boom and winch. The boat has both salt and fresh water washdowns, fabric see-through screens and teak signage.
The flybridge has a storage locker on the starboard side and in front of that is a comfortable seating area that can accommodate eight people under the generous Bimini top.
The flybridge cushions are new and there is storage under the seats. The upper helm has a see through chart cover, a built in chart light, a covered instrument panel, a depth/fish finder, a venture wind screen, and a flybridge cover. Owner just recently purchased two spare shafts and props.



























































ELECTRONICS SPECIFICATIONS

"Joyful Noise" comes with a Raytheon R80 radar/plotter, a Raymarine SP6001+ auto pilot, a Standard Horizon Voyager VHF radio, and Apelco MS254L depth sounder. It also has a rudder indicator, and a secondary Lowrance depth finder


MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

"Joyful Noise" comes with twin 120 Lehman diesels with BW Velvet drives that were just overhauled. The boat has a 3 stage battery charger/inverter that was wired and installed one year ago with control panels on the helm. This provides A/C service which you can run A/C outlets in the boat allowing you to make coffee etc while on the way without having to turn on the generators. Joyful Noise has two generators a 12kw Onan and a 3kx Onan both recently overhauled, and each with its own battery. There are 4 new gulf cart batteries that are charged by the charger and motor alternators, a new custom battery box, a Heart Interface 110V power inverter, as well as hour meters, tachometers, voltage meters, oil pressure gauges and water temperature gauges. The boat also comes with a dingy and a 6hp Johnson outboard motor. Holding tank installed 3 years ago along with deck pump-out and manual discharge pump.
