EXTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS
The exterior styling of the Monterey 296 is very sleek and attractive, not to mention very functional by design as these knowledgeable builders think like a boater first and foremost. The smooth riding hull provides a wave-flattening modified-V hull, and the transom incorporates an integrated swim platform with a dive ladder, a hot and cold transom shower, a transom door for easy cockpit access, as well as built-in fender racks to keep everything organized and out of your way when not in use. The roomy cockpit provides a folding bench seat for three aft on the transom, and a bench seat on the starboard side for two which faces aft. There is another bench seat forward on the port side which faces starboard toward the helm station. The helm seat is designed to fit two adults comfortably. There is a removable cockpit table located in the center of the cockpit between the folding bench seat and the bench seat facing aft for somewhat of a face-to-face dinette arrangement. Forward on the port side is the entrance to the cabin. Between the cabin door and the helm is a step and handrail which allows easy access to the center windshield that opens to safely gain access to the forward deck. There are S.S. hand rails located wherever needed and a foredeck sun pad for added convenience to accommodate those sunworshippers on board. There is a green Sunbrella convertible top with eisenglass side and forward curtains and an aft slant back curtain to provide protection from the elements whether moored or underway. |
