All Makos start with solid hand-laid fiberglass hulls with the added strength and safety of foam flotation within the hull. Also, unknown to most, their construction is also designed to aid as a shock absorbing system of sorts by offsetting the inner liner stringers from the hull stringers, eliminating direct floor to stringer contact, thus eliminating shock, or at least minimizing it. The Mako roots start at the cockpit. Big non-skid areas that drain fast and drain overboard. “Tenacious” is the best equipped 282 on the market (look at the electronics) with factory options such as bow pulpit, full bow rail, round leaning post bait well (giving you 2 bait wells), and removable casting platform filler, just to mention a few. “Tenacious” was only launched at the end of March 2003 and has approx two (2) year full factory warranty remaining on the engines, not to mention the blanace of the Mako hull warranty. Also included in the sale of “Tenacious” is a triple axle aluminum trailer. |
